91 si stock cel resets itself please help
On my 91 si I get a random misfire while im driving and cel turns on if I shut the car off and turn it back on it turns off so I cant the code. What would make this happen? Ive changed the temp sensor, coil, icm, tps, wires, cap, rotor and plugs and still the same.

You need to look at the ECU itself. The light on the gauge cluster just lets you know it was triggered. The light on the ECU will tell you if it's stored or not.

Oxygen sensor and a bad sensor in the distributor.
The 9 blink code makes sense of the misfire - that's the cyp sensor in the distributor.
The 1 blink for the oxygen sensor could actually be a false reading due to the misfire letting unburnt fuel past to the O2 sensor.

So if the cyp sensor is going bad should I just get a new distributor? Can I interchange it with any others? I have a stock d16a6 in the car with 196,000.

You should actually troubleshoot the CYP sensor first before replacing anything.
You can not readily repair any of the sensors in the distributor and will be better off getting a new one.

Except for the coil and icm which I have already changed. What besides a bad shaft bearing in the distributor trigger my cyp sensor?
