Hey Guys ..

I'm new to this forum, but not to a wrench ..

I have a 91' Civic 1.5L DX ...

She's been running like a TOP since I brought her back to life a couple of
years ago, but right now I'm having a MAJOR PROBLEM.

My car stalls when running/driving, including last night while I was crusing
down the GSP at 75mph ...

I think I hear a 'pop' like a relay tripping and the fuel just SHUTS OFF!!!!

Plenty of cranking power ... and spark .. BRAND NEW MAIN RELAY ...

Good gas, fresh everything, PLUGS, WIRES, CAP, ROTOR, COIL, IGNITION
MODULE, AIR FILTER, GAS FILTER, TIMING BELT, WATER PUMP, A/C
COMPRESSOR (not that it matters)

You can't name the 'usual' stuff that I haven't done to this car ... (did I tell you
that my father is a 60's muscle car, Harley ridin' motor head ..??!)

So she stalls ... when hot ... well not hot ... just up to full NORMAL operating
temp ... (car is NOT overheating ...)

and all I have to do to get her running again is wait for her to COOL DOWN ...

Then she runs like a TOP again ...!!!???????????

Matter of fact I'm waiting for her to cool down on my driveway while I'm writing
this ....

I got stuck earlier today and limped her home by waiting for her to cool ...

Tonight, FULLY COOLED, she started up, no problem ....

Then after about 10 minutes of idling on the driveway she cut out again ...

I know she will start as soon as she cools down ....

This has to be a relay or a sensor that is going bad and SHUTS DOWN
THE FUEL PUMP when it heats up ...!!??

Haven't rolled back the carpet to watch the lights blink yet ... but will
do that if I really have to ....

I'm hoping that someone knows which relay/sensor would SHUT DOWN
my fuel pump like that ...??

Again MAIN RELAY IS BRAND NEW .... plus I have a re-soldered backup
that produces the same results ....

Plus it's nice and COOL here in NJ at night ... so the MAIN is COOL ...

PLEASE HELP ...!!!!!!!

i would see what the ecu codes are first

I had this issue myself a while ago. I kept driving it for about a month until the ecu lit up one day. I changed it out and never had the problem since.

This could be your ignition switch (not the tumbler). The temp thing is throwing me off though...
