89 honda civic si speedometer not working
my speedometer is not working...i also tried changin my cluster n speedometer cable nothing is working..could it be the speedometer drivetrain??? wer the transmission is at???

its sound like your speedo cable is not in the tranny corectly, it could either be where the cable goes into the speed sensor or where the sensor goes into the tranny, i would check both. good luck.

check the contact where the speedo goes into the tranny, mine got covered in gunk when i had it out and i didnt notice when i put it back in until i started driving. try pulling it out and wiping it off and putting it back in.

nope..just put it around the cable itself and just make sure that you feel the clip go all the way in...it suppose to hold the cable down and in the tranny once you feel that click or the clip going over the cable. I lost mine and i'm lazy to get a new one, i kinda know how fast i'm going now just by looking at the rpm's...speed dont matter no more i guess...i just cruise...2 ez.

could be...double check everything you did and start over..sounds bad but its the only way you'd know, is by re-tracing your steps and then checking other possibilities. GOOD LUCK. :-bd
