89 Civic Heater Blower issues
Hello everyone. I'm new here. Hoping someone can help me. My heater blower seems to have stopped working.(it's only going to be 20 below zero tonight too!!)
Anyway...Couple questions:
1. I found the blower behind the glove box, and someone told me to hit it a couple times to see if it starts up. It worked one day. Now it doesn't work anymore.
2. is the blower the problem?
3. Where is the resistor for the heater blower?
4. Any ideas on where to find a cheap blower/motor if it is actually the problem?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Could be the resistor, you'll see it on the front side of the motor housing, it's got a 4-pin harness clipped into it and two philips screws holding it on. Unscrew it and slide it out, you'll be able to tell if it's shot by looking at the resistor coils, if they're broken in any way you need a new one.
Otherwise, your motor is toast.
