88 crx si chassis harness
got a question about a 88 crx si engine harness. the main plug that connects the engine harness to the chassis harness, is it a square 6 pin plug or a 8 pin round plug?
on my crx all i have is a 6 pin square plug and some one showed me a pic today of what they said was a 88 crx si engine harness and it had both the square and round any help...

at the driver's side, the 88 Si harness has a rectangular 6-wire connector - the 89-91 has a round 8-wire connector because of the 2 additional wires for the fast idle control valve which the 88 doesn't have - this is the driver's side connector for the 88 Si:
at the passenger side, the 88-91 Si has 3 connectors like this (the rectangular 6-wire connector at the arrow does not occur on the DPFI harness):

Re: 88 crx si chassis harness
in addition to the 88 Si engine harness, you can also use any 89-91 Si engine harness, since you won't have the fast idle control valve that is on the 89-91 Si engine and you won't be using those 2 wires - you just need the connectors to match so you can plug them together - either swap a rectangular 6-pin connector onto the engine harness or swap a round 8-pin connector onto the chassis harness - the 89-91 Si engine harness will have a solid dark blue wire and a black with yellow stripe wire that won't be used and it will also have an unused connector for the FICV which was on the back of the intake manifold on the 89-91 Si - the 6 wires you need will be light blue, yellow, red, brown, blue with yellow stripe and yellow with black stripe

No need to bump, just go to the junkyard and take them of a car. and if you cant find them get a different pair and simply de-pin and re-pin
