1989 civic timing belt change
So im trying to change my timing belt and the crankshaft pulley is giving me some trouble, i know there is a tool for this very problem but that is unavailable to me right now, so my question is, is there any way to get the pulley bolt loose without using that tool or and impact gun?

put person in car, have them put the tranny in 5th gear, no other. Have them hold the brakes, while you slide around the front of the car. With ur breaker bar pointed towards the ground, hold under the bumper (to keep from pushing urself backwards) and push as hard as ur *** can with ur leg(s) mine broke free pretty easily with this approach once my impact wouldnt move it. also, use shortest extension you possibly can to reduce flex and stuff. I used a 3/4" breaker bar that is about 2 feet long, adapted to a 1/2", then my impact socket (shallow) this was short enough to not flex andwas barely out past the crank pulley.
If the motor is out of the car, haul it to a tire place/truck shop. They will have an impact to break that bitch loose.
