Re: 1 of a kind all steel widebody 500+hp rhd crx
Yo guys, I put some of the fender pics up in their all-steel form. They are on my facebook, I kno some of you guys hit me up on facebook so if you could take them and post them in here I'd appreciate it and I'm sure everyone else would too. I'm gona put them in the photobucket thing too. Also ill b posting some pics of how I did the rhd conversion and the roll cage modifications I've been working on. I been out of the tuner scene for a while and this car has been in the corner of my shop in shambles. 75% of the people who come thru my shop and c it don't appreciate the work I'm puttin into a crx so its great to have people showing interest in my project. Thanks for checkin it out. Stay tuned for more.

Wow, very impressive work. However I am gonna have to play Mugen police for a minute, and instruct you to throw away that valve cover, and replace it.

Re: 1 of a kind all steel widebody 500+hp rhd crx
Thanks for puttin those up man, as for that mugen valve cover, that will b getting tossed. I have a stock cover with a sick breather setup on it with all braided lines. I'm not gonna put it back on til I m done all the bodywork. I'm kickin myself in the *** guys, I just thought of somethin, I should have used newer civic headlights and hood so the bumper fab was easier n looked newer. Damn. Woulda been easy since I already made the fenders from nothing anyway. I have a vis carbon hood on it now, and let me tell say that it looks like a 5 year old kid made it. I called vis and asked if they could make me a flawless hood if I paid extra and there response was, "no need to pay anything extra, we supply the best quality parts on the market". So, anyone have a steel ef sir hood? In the tristate area?

Re: 1 of a kind all steel widebody 500+hp rhd crx
I've been messin with the front bumper for about a week now, I'm just testing a lot of different ones to c which will match he best. Rite now I'm between 00 civic si, 07 g35, and 07 tsx. The tsx is lookin very promising, plus is got a spot for some nice sized fog's which I like. Not sure what ill use ye tho, since I want to make sre the front also matches the rear bumper. So whichever I use will need to work on the rear also.

Thumbs up for impressive project. May I ask you about your welding setup? I thought I saw a tank in there...

What'd u want to know about the welder? I use a lincoln 110v mig for the sheet metal work. For the heavier metal I use a hobart miller 220v setup. The tanks 75%-25%argon/o2

I think it wod be cool if you used an oem crx bumper and made a flare that made it match the fenders. I think it would be way better if you could make the crx parts work. None the less, nice work

Re: 1 of a kind all steel widebody 500+hp rhd crx
Ill post pics of the sir bumpers I was gonna se, I split them and welded them back together so they didn't have the molding in them, but they are way too shallow to match the beefiness I pu into the car, I'd need to add lie 3" to make it look even close, they're just too small, I wanted to use them trust me, but they will b way too brittle, after being split in half, then also split down the middle to add like 5" of width, just too much of a mess for somethin that's gonna get hot and cold. It'll never hold up no matter how nice of a job I do. As for the awd setup, I'm gonna use a crv setup. I'm going to take the entire center floor section of the crv n clip it into my crx, I've mapped it out already and this seems to be the easiest and strongest way to do it without messing with all the geometry of the suspension. That way I won't have to make a driveshaft tunnel of anything, it'll all b there.

The wheels I'm running are rota's, not volk's btw. I don't remember what model rota's they are, I ordered them a while ago.
