Re: would it be a ricer or not
By the way, that's a stock replica lip for a '99-'00 Civic. Most people are okay with replica lips, but others think they're ricey because they're fake. If you put it on a different year, it's definitely ricey imo.
If you have a '99-'00 Civic and you put a real stock lip on it, then I wouldn't call it rice. Plus it'd look a whole lot better too.

Re: would it be a ricer or not
It's more like the emblem is stuck on with a type of locking washer type deal. When people remove them they usually break the prongs off the back of the emblem off, which means it has to be glued back on if you want it back.
There are grilles out there without the emblem, but for the '96-'98 front the only good choice is the '97-'98 Civic Type R grille, which is black mesh. For '99-'00 Civics there is the USDM Si grille or the '99-'00 CTR grille, which is the same.

A lip is only one piece.
For example, you have the front lip. Then you have the rear lip. Then you have sideskirts.
Replica lips can be super cheap. Real ones, depending on what you pick out, can vary in price.
Remember the year and body of the car matters.

holy crap, did vashtx change his name already?!
no, lips are not generally considered rice, but some people call anything rice. I personally don't mind them, but I don't have one, and don't plan on getting one.... and I've had people call my car rice because I DON'T have one.
