Default windshield wipers dont work!! replaced motor and they still dont **HHHELLLPPP***

so i bought the car and the windshield wipers dont work
i checked the fuse and it wasnt blown so i didnt get a new one.

i ordered a windshield wiper motor for my EG .1992 civic dx hatchback.

the motor looked different but it bolted in perfectly the same the plugs were different but they still all plugged up right.

and i tried em and nothing happend.

what can be wrong??????

could it be the switch?
im a noob and dont understand
but the switch in my car works for my rear window wiper. my rear wiper works perfectly fine. and my washer fluid sprays ...so could the front wiper part of the switch be broken?

or do you think it could be the wiring to them?
im stumped

and my hands are numb from having to take off the hood and all that crap.

any ideas are VERY GREATLY apreciated.

thanks in advanced

Okay, go to your windshield wiper motor connector, and with the wipers turned ON, check for voltage at the black and green wire.

If you've got voltage, check your black wire for good ground.

If you've got no voltage, then it very well could be your wiper switch instead of your motor. (Meaning your original motor could have been good.. doh)

There's a way to check the switch as well, involving a multi-meter and resistances. If you think you can tackle it I'll be glad to try and step you through it.

Oh, and there's no relay as far as I know.
