will Carsound(magnaflow) high flow cat on EM1 pass smog???
whuttup guys! i wanna get a carsound high flow cat for my em1 and wanted to know if it would pass smog here in Cali? i know they say it is illegal to change your stock cat for a high flow cat for all obd2 vehicles but i wanted to know if i slapped on a high flow cat would it pass smog??

That is true, but even with an OEM cat, if your motor is running bad, you can still fail for high NOX levels.

you slightly increase your hp with highflow cat. the main difference of a high flow and a oem is the material that is used within the cat. highflows generally have less restrictive parts within the cat but at the same time also filter's it out like a normal cat. less restriction= "high flow"

Exhaust doesnt have to do with emissions, it has to do with sound. Sound is questionable for passing. Emissions has to do with what CAT is being used.
