anyone know what years/engines the lower alt bracket interchanges?

i am really not trying to be rude Ron, i appreciate your time, but are you saying that the lower brackets do not have a fitment ranges? or they are specific to certain models/engines/years?? etc.
if there is no 5th/6th gen interchange (vehicle in question - 97 dx)

yes. that is correct.
from what i am able to find, it seems 5th gens all interchange. but i'm not able to find anything for 6th gens or whether or not the two generations interchange.

All '92 - '00 lower alternator brackets are interchangeable except the '99 - '00 Si.
