Icon2 Why do I keep blowing the battery fuse?

The battery fuse on my 1996 civic ex with a d16y8 keeps blowing. I have added new ground cables:
-intake mani to chassis
-chassis to trans
-chassis to alternator ground
-chassis to valve cover
-chassis to starter ground.

It will blow the fuse as soon as you hook the battery up.

I did put the harness on and the computer in.

what could be the problem?
thanks

The battery cables are probably shorting somewhere. Check the power cables, not just the ground cables.

So your battery fuse (the 80A one?) kept blowing and you added more grounds to try and fix the problem?

Step 1: Remove any ground cables that weren't there from the factory.
Step 2: For the factory ground cables, remove them and sand down the mating surfaces of the chassis and eyelet, wire wheel the bolt to remove any corrosion and re-assemble.

Even if you didn't add those grounds in an attempt to fix this, remove them anyway. Ground loops are a bad thing. Get the ETM (electrical troubleshooting manual) for your car, disconnect stuff that the fuse is powering and find that short.

Or is 40A fuse 42 blowing? If so, start by unplugging the two connectors to the ignition switch to see whether this stops the fuse from blowing.

it is the 80A battery fuse

so (T101) is just a cable fro the fuse box to the alternator. If so, I will run a wire directly and see what happens. That is probably my problem.

Are you sure you did'nt put a ground directly where the alternator B+ output is?
