Random Technologies makes high flow cats for specific models that are a bolt on affair and cost around $150. I have one on my 99 si...

Re: What HIgh flow cat to get?
I got the cat and the exhaust at the same time so it is hard for me to tell for sure. I'm sure they are good for a few hp though. I can vouch for the fact that the installation was very easy...

What kind of setup are you running? You want to make sure you get a cat that will match the diameter of your exhaust...

Check the link, the linked one is a direct fit. Although they sell a non-direct fit also that needs welded. Ive heard good things about the Magnaflow, and am getting one installed in a couple of weeks myself.

Re: What HIgh flow cat to get?
Again I had a magnaflow custom cat on my old car (2.25" through) and was really happy with the performance and the sound. The only reason I recommended the RT Cat was because my magnaflow imploded on me with < 10,000 miles on it...

Re: What HIgh flow cat to get?
I've been using this for the last year or so. My OEM died, threw P0420 and I had nothing else to do. I opted for Magnaflow, but the exhaust shop has had a lot of people come back with Hondas because of the placement of o2 sensor on universal weld-ins, so I just got a Catco for same price.
Rattling went away, old cat must have been quite dead.

Careful with your cats guys. BAR is really **** when it comes to those now that the new law passed in January. The cat you have MUST be a special CARB approved one with some E.O. numbers on it. All the universal cats that auto zone or kragen sold at one point are completely useless. I failed my first BAR appointment because they couldn't prove my cat was for a 94-95 LS. So I had to go out and buy a brand new one. Then I passed perfectly. New cats are awesome. My smog numbers were wayyyy below average.
Just a heads up that the new law for California people SUCKS.

Re: What HIgh flow cat to get?
The dude is from MD, MD is very lax... If you are OBD1 they hook you up to a sniffer, if you are OBD2 they plug a scanner into your OBD port. If there are no CEL's than you pass. There are even ways around it... And that is only if you live in a county with emissions which luckily I do not...
MD is the 5th worst state for personal freedom, right under Cali, but at least they don't chase after car enthusiasts with a money making agenda...
If I lived in Cali I wouldn't even bother owning one of these cars...

Magnaflow also makes universal cats, which are the ones most people are used to seeing/hearing about.

Yeah gut your cat so you can have a raspy sound. Thats the only reason I put one back on is to have a mellow smooth tone throughout powerband.
Like a 2 hp loss is worth not running a cat.

Re: What HIgh flow cat to get?
my car is a obd1, so the o2 senser should be at the header and not at the cat right? cuz i got the header with the flange cut off and theres no o2 senser hole on the header... So they all come in 2.25 for the magna flow? and i would have to get it for the integra?

Re: What HIgh flow cat to get?
No idea what you're talking about....
My header on my hatch doesn't have a hole for an O2 sensor, the test pipe does though.
I say to find a stock cat, swap it in for emission testing and put a test pipe in the rest of the time if you can.
