What Catalytic Converter to use with a H22 swap in an EG?
Hi, I need a new cat for my Civic. I need one that will work with my car right now, which has the stock Si motor. I also need this same cat to work when I swap my H22 in. Is there such a cat?
You guys with H22 EGs, what cats do you use?

I could be very wrong, but I don't think that the H22 header is the same length of as your current setup, so I don't think you will be able to get one that will fit both. I think the H22 header is longer.

Honestly I'm not sure, but I think there are problems using an aftermarket header for an H22 in an EG. Do your homework before you get into this, it is a BIG ordeal.

I plan on purchasing this header which eliminates the flex pipe.
I want to run a cat, and not a test pipe because I have emissions to pass and I don't want to hurt the environment.
Thanks,
Jake

**** that's cheap...it's almost 3000 bucks here.

Thank you for clearing that up for me. I remembered someone on here building a custom H22 heder for an EG, and another for the REX, so I thought that an aftermarket header may not work.

True, but there's the thing to remember. On the stock Prelude exhaust manifold (and Prelude headers), the bolt pattern is for 3 bolts, where as a Civic/Integra cat and header uses a 2-bolt flange. Therefore, if you use a Prelude exhaust manifold of other Prelude header, then you'll need to fab up something, such as a small extension going from a 3-bolt Prelude flange to a 2-bolt Civic/Integra flange for the cat. But some companies now are making the H22 headers with the 2-bolt Civic/Integra flange to solve that problem (and making the downpipe shorter so you don't have to cut and move the cat back 6-8 inches). Just a few things to also consider.
