like the title says i have a weird tapping noise coming for my motor mycar is an eg9 w ls swap i droped the oil pan and i didnt find any metal shaveing inside of it

check your valve lash you might have a loose rocker

You need to pinpoint where the tapping noise is coming from. The location suggests what the problem may be.

sounds like the rockers are tapping. mine was doing that and it turned out i was running lil low on oil. i'm pretty sure u have but have u checked the oil level just a lil thing to check.

yea i did check the oil level all ready cuz i changed the oil on it and it still does it

so listen to the motor is it coming from the bottom end or the top end
bottom end probably a spun rod (but those are loud and you kno it doesnt sound good)
the top end mostlikly a loose rocker arm and its gonna be a "tapping" noise and its probably not to crazy loud

its not the bottom end because i pulled it apart its a tapping noise to drive u crazy

well as "RonJ" said get a stethoscope and find out ware its coming from.. but my bet is the rockers.. hondas famous for their loud valve train
