I'm running Skunk2's. I have heard of the VIS cracking before. They could have redesigned it though. I prefer the Skunk2's to Ground Controls.

If you can wait, get some Ground Controls.. If not, I would definitely recommend Skunk 2 over VIS Racing any day.

Just what i was thinking...neither, get ground controls...they are well worth it, you'll be happier in the end.

Yea I heard that the Ground Controls work very well with stock shocks, but if you have to choose between the 2 other brand i would definately go with the Skunk2.

I was considering getting the NEX full-bodied coilovers but a few people recommended me to just get the Ground Control sleeves. I have almost new n/a Tokico blues and Progress springs. I know that Tokico will not warrant their struts if used with coilover sleeves but that's not my concern. What I'm wondering is how well a set of GC's will work with the Tokico blues and if they will wear the struts out faster sine they aren't adjustable dampening? If it would make a good combo which spring rates should I look for if I want a slightly firmer ride but not harsh and bouncy.

1.gc (cause of the choice of spring rates)
2.skunk2
3.VIS
2.skunk2
3.VIS
1) choice of spring rates and choice of spring length... yes you can get custom rates and lengths that yary from 6"-8" springs.
2) it has the dual lock perches unlike GC's single perch with the hex screw lock thingy... i don't like that because they tend to strip.
3) durable as hell. i have owned 6 sets for my 6 different honda's before and never had a problem with them. the springs don't sag, the sleeves don't crack, and nothing rusts...
i have owned both GC and skunk2 and i feel that the skunk2's are more superior.
my $0.02..

Ground Controls=
Skunk 2s=
VIS=
I have had experience with Skunk and the ride is very bouncy...not rough..but soo bouncy..because they set their spring rates soo high..ground control on the other hand sets theirs high too..but on the positive side they let you customize your spring rates...i have my set at 350 in the front and 275 in the rear..handles like a glove and rides soo damn smooth!...VIS...i've just heard good and bad stuff..better than arospeed and Tenzo R and all that APC junk..but not better than SKUNK2 for sure..

Re: VIS racing coilover or SKUNK2 coilover for my hatchie (Sohc Driver)
vis coilovers are equivalent to the maxspeeds.....they both ride like ***
ground controls....my friend has had a problem with them perch stripping and their sring doesnt hug the perch that the srping sits on which causes it to rattle and strip the sleeve...
with my skunk2 and illuminas.....BUTTER, they ride coo, nothing rusts, arent too bouncy and i have integra spring rates on my civic, so handling is tight and coo....just my thought......
