I am trying to wire my ignition up correctly since previous owner bypassed ignition switch and installed push button. I thought the problem was the ignition switch but after installing a new one, my key won't turn motor over. It turns the acc. on but wont turn motor over when push forward all the way. Hence the ghetto push button previous owner installed.

My question is what is this plug? The yellow wire coming out of it runs to the C922 plug that plugs into the fuse box for ignition switch. It is just hanging loose and I wonder what it is suppose to plug into??

FYI The chassis is a 1994 civic VX. The fact that it has a gsr swap is irrelevant but I figured I would mention everything I can think of.

The yellow wire (IG2) at C922 runs to the ignition switch.

Yes I know it is to the ignition switch. I was just refering to that wire because it runs to plug in picture. My question is what does the plug in the picture plug into because my stock ignition switch hasn't worked since I bought the car. I can't find any thing under the dash this white plug plugs into? I am wondering if I am missing a relay?

Somebody know what this plug goes to? Still trying to figure it out! It has a red, yellow, black, and two grey wires... I am horrible with wire schematics and haven't been able to figure it out yet.

Wires from C922 run directly to the ignition switch. Have you inspected the ignition switch wires? Remove the switch and check it out.

Yes I have, I just installed a new ignition switch thinking that was the problem! The yellow wire coming out of c922 is running to this white plug and to the ignition plug as in pics below. The black wire ran to a ground in front of fuse panel under dash.

The red wire and the grey wires are coming out of the plug above into the white plug in question here...

The yellow wire runs from white plug into c922(plug that plugs into fuse panel). There is another yellow wire running out of the same spot the other yellow wire is on c922 to the other plug for the ignition. C922 plug is on left. Ignition plug on right.

Is it part of an alarm/kill switch system?

I have no idea. It doesn't appear that this car has ever had any alarm/security measures installed. I was under the impression it was a stock plug. I had thought it might be a starter cut relay but have not pulled the ac condenser relay to see if it fits.

The white plug is highly unlikely to be a stock plug.

The red wire in the white plug appears to take voltage from the Wht/Blk wire that supplies power to the ignition switch.

The Yel wire in the white plug appears to share power with the Yel IG2 wire after the ignition switch.

The black wire in the white plug is clearly a ground wire.

I can't see where the gray wire is pinned so I can't tell you what it does.

It appears that you could remove the white plug and its associated wires without affecting anything.

Thanks for your help Ron. I am going to play with my volt meter and try to figure out why I am getting no juice to turn the motor over.

I might have screwed up last night when I went to replace my key lock cylinder because I accidentally pulled the metal leg out that goes in the bottom of the cylinder and can't get it back in.

Oh, I thought the problems were solved after you replaced the ignition switch.

Are you saying you cannot turn the lock cylinder with the key?

Why did you replace the lock cylinder? Have you tested the electrical switch?

No unfortunately, problems not solved. I replaced the lock cylinder because my key was so worn out I could pull the key out with it running and figured I would go ahead and replace since I replaced the ignition switch. I got the lock cylinder in and working. My problem is when I turn the key all the way forward to where it should engage the starter, I get nothing. I have constant power coming from the red wire and the yellow wire has power when key turns to accessories.

I was just reading about a prolock security measure offered by the dealership. I am wondering if that is what this plug could be for. I haven't found any images yet of the black plug that completes the circuit.

You probably could have fixed the key problem by buying a new set of keys from the Honda dealer.

When you turn the key to ON(III), does voltage reach either the safety switch at the top of the clutch pedal or the starter solenoid plug?

I probably could have but I figured if the tumblers were half as bad as the key, I probably could have started my car with a paper clip!

Unfortunately I ran out of time to continue due to leaving town. I will be back this weekend to continue. I did figure out I am missing the rubber stop on the clutch switch but car still wouldn't start with the pin pushed in. The white plug appears to plug into a relay of some sort to complete the circuit(security measure of some sort I assume). I get power to one of the grey wires when key is turned all the way (ACC 3 i believe). I jumped the grey wire that had power to the other grey wire with no luck. I ran out of time to check power at the clutch switch and the starter relay but those will be the first things I do when I get back

I finally got rid of my ghetto push button start. My clutch switch is bad so I temporarily jumped the wires till I order a new switch.

Cutting the wires. Plug the brown plug into fusebox

I already figured it out, I was just referring to this thread and those plugs to help you figure out a kill switch.
