TruHart Sport Shocks + Stock EK SI Springs = ???
hey guys,
on a budget and looking to replace old blown shocks in my 2000 honda civic si EM1 and saw these TruHart sport shocks for $170 shipped.
Only thing is they have slightly shorter shock. I want to keep stock springs and just looking for some shocks I can swap in. Will my stock si springs work with these slightly shorter shocks?
if the car ends up a little lower or stiffer because of these shocks I'm fine with it but just checking if they'll even work since it seems like most people use them for lowered setup.
anyone here done this?

I wouldn't. Shorter stroke/shock body? By how much? I'd like to see what your springs look like after you install them. The coils will probably look like a stack of pancakes. My initial thought anyway. It might not even work out that way.
Might as well pop for the shock spring combo while you're at it.

Get a set of Koni STRT's. Isn't truhart one of the many companies that are part of that Raceland scam?

thanks guys, I will probably just get a set of generic OEM replacements but i was thinking if i could get some "sport" shocks that were a little stiffer for nearly the same price that would be even better.
I have not found a single bad review of the truhart shocks from anyone who actually used them yet and these guys who tested them on a shock dyno found they were essentially identical to the konis other than the slightly shorter shock length
06+ Civic Truhart Shocks

just finally got in touch with TruHart and it turns out you were right that these shocks won't work with stock springs, and all truhart shocks require shortened/lowering springs. thanks guys
