Transmission Fluid for 99-00 Civic Si
What kind of transmission fluid do I use for a 99-00 Honda Civic si and how much. The Service manual says to use only genuine Honda Manual Transmission FLuid but I hear you can just use SAE 10W30

right on man, 10w30 you got it..I use it all the time..and instead of 5w30 in the motor i always use 10 w..i just personally like a thicker weight , it is all the same once hot

At the time that the manual was written, MTF was only slightly different than 10w30 (which honda recommended for years and years).
Do whatever you want....but the newer MTF is like gm/penzoil synchromesh
