Throttle seems to stick and CEL comes on...any ideas?
Hey guys,
My throttle seems to 'stick' at around 3000 RPM. Then when I give it a little gas, it will come back down.
I adjusted the idle screw and got the idle down as far as I could: 1500 RPM. After it idles for a long while, the CEL will come on. Then if I shut the car off, it will go away. Any ideas?
I have yet to get the CEL codes from the computer...I'm going to try again tonight.
Thanks!

You also wanna check your Throttle Cable Deflection, look between the TB and the Throttle Cable Hanger, and you should have 12mm of play, your Cable may be too tight causing your idle to be high. Take a 12mm open end wrench and eye ball the Throttle Cable in the middle of the wrench and wiggle the Throttle Cable to check it. If there isn't enough slack then on the Throttle Cable Hanger, loosen the 12mm nut and put some slack in the Cable.
