Thanks for the helpful advice built hatch. I really didn't know that, very detailed info.. How much would those pistons cost?
Does anyone have a picture of the tranny ground by any chance.

somehow I question that statement builthatch. A b18 is certainly more torquey than a D16.
I like B series because a lot of parts are still cheap and available, and there's just more aftermarket support than the D series has. There are tons of wrecked Integra DAs in the junkyard for some mounts, brackets, alternators. I got my B18C1 head and block I'm building now for about 600, legit. I'm fine with that because it's bigger and will be more fun than my old D series could have been. The only way a D series would be like that is turbo'd, and then the low end would stink from having to have low compression.
The D series is fine if it's what someone is after, but B, H, K, J series motors are just torquier.

i agree with your more detailed response, but i think there are a lot of people like me in that if they have a d commuter, it can be most beneficial and practical to service the d and possibly add a cam and p29's, or replace the d with another d, since they are perfect commuter engines. you already have the trans and everything else, it's just a matter of repairing what you have or swapping in an identical bottom end, head, or complete long block.

You could have an ignition switch (electrical portion) going bad or a main relay going bad, check for fuel pressure on the next no start. Do the idiot lights come on the dash during the next no start with the key in the run position.
