i was told it was my dizzy but he has 12v from the cap and to the cap and from the coil also
i was told a new ignitor? letme kno

if the dizzy is not new, and should be replaced then I would do a whole unit, the price of a friggin ignitor is nearly the cost of a unit. I just went through that bullshit.

Re: (riceburnerryan)
For the code 15, check for battery voltage on the BLK/YEL wire at t he dizzy with the ignition in the on position. If you get voltage it could be the ICM, wiring between the ICM and ECU or the ECU. If you don't get voltage check for a short in the BLK/YEL wire.. The ELD wouldn't keep the car from starting. Just an FYI the 7.5a fuse under the hood is to reset the ECU but you just remove it for a few seconds and its reset. Never did it myself, but maybe turning the key when that fuse was removed fried some things as said...

But before you go throwing parts at it I would run through the troubleshooting flowcharts in a factory service manual. I'm sure if your nice your local Honda dealer would let you make copies of the needed pages.

Re: (riceburnerryan)
Yeah if you ran all the way through the troubleshooting flowcharts for your CELs they should be solved. I really think whatever is causing the DTC 15 is also keeping the car from starting.

If you follow the flowcharts it will direct you to the root of the problem.. And you CEL will go away, most likely allowing the car to start.

Code 21 is:
21*- Accord Civic CRV CRX Del Sol Odyssey Prelude
94-98 ** 92-95 n/a n/a 93-95 n/a 93-95
VTEC Solenoid Valve
defective circuit or unplugged / defective solenoid valve
* not a valid code if car does not have a VTEC engine
** not with V-6 engine
Code 15 is:
15- Accord Civic CRV CRX Del Sol Odyssey Prelude
90-95 88-95 n/a 88-91 93-95 95 88-95
Ignition Output Signal
missing or defective ignition output signal
This might help you alittle better . Seems like the not starting problem lies in the code 15. This could also be causing the code 21. Hopefully you can figure something out soon.

Seem like something else failed inbetween the ecu and the dizzy. Taking it to the nearest Honda/Acura dealer is about your only hope. Wish i was closer man, i would come over and look at it for ya.

Re: (riceburnerryan)
so i took my car to honda... and its now fixed... in a grand total including towing it was 300 bucks.. wanna kno what was wrong? well it was one of the wires came loose form the shoddy VAFC wiring and well .. that cuased no signal from the ECU to the dizzy ... which in turn .. caused no spark thus not allowing my car to start... well ... now its fixed and i even got a cool new honda shirt! yay!
