thermostat prices?

Default thermostat prices?

anyone know any good places to buy a thermostat for a 93 civic??? i know i could go to honda and buy it, but what about auto supply stores?

would it matter where i go? also whats the price on those?

yes. even though the rubber gasket looks good on your old one, better to replace it now than later when it might leak.

never get one at kragens, autozone, pepboys, etc. go straight to the dealer. i got one from each one before and i learned my lesson... each time i got one, they all didn't even fit. the diameter was off by about 0.5-1 MM. that much does matter because it wont even go in right!

The most i ever paid for one at the dealership was about $25 with a new rubber seal.

yup, ive seen that happen. do it right the 1st time so you don thave to do the same thing again.

thanks everyone! i got the thermostat for $17 at Honda. while i was putting it in i found out the car never had one to begin with

i just bought one from Honda parts today for 10.18. Only thing is I have a mechanic buddy who gets me his discount on OEM Honda parts. The regular price is 17.76 for the thermostat in Fairfax City. Have the invoice for the parts right in front of me, i also got the oil pan gasket for b16 for 16.23, regularly 26.55. My friend saves me alot on the OEM Honda parts and i love it!!
