i just bought the aircraft paint remover thingy midjiggy. Instead of a spray its comes in a ozzie form so i can brush it onto my car. Works really well...a lot better than sanding!

Please dispose of that stuff properly. It should NOT be washed down the drain. It remains caustic even after you wash it off.

Aircraft stripper will take everything off down to the metal, so if you want to go that route, that would be the best way to get there. That also makes it harder to repaint the car because you'll have to spray everything directly on metal rather than on a surface with some tooth, i.e. sanded paint or primer.

Anyhow, there are actually posts showing how to and the results of spraying aircraft stripper on your car as a paint-prep procedure. This really shouldn't be done, though and is a ****-poor excuse for trying to skip steps in a process that's 99% prep.

You can sandblast it, a sandblaster shouldn't cost too much. It will give it a nice metal rough surface.
