Theft recovery... stupid dash and radio

Theft recovery... stupid dash and radio
My new 2000 Honda Civic is a theft recovery and the radio doesn't work. The dash lights are also inactive, and I think that has to do with the theft mode that the vehicle is in. I know that if I take it to a Honda dealer they will give me the code to reactivate the radio, but will the dash lighting come back as well? I figured that the unlit dash was part of theft mode... is this true?
The radio reads "code error", so once I take it to a dealer and they give me the code to reactivate it, will the dash backlights come back?

They will be able to give you the code but it will require removal of the unit to examine the serial/part number off the back of it, not sure about your dash lights, my climate control lights did not light after I disconnected the battery, also setting the theft for the radio.

so then it is a possibility that after they put the code in for the radio and put the radio back in that the dash lights will come back on?
also, if i did blow a fuse, is it costly and difficult to put a new one in?

You replace them in your fuse box. All your fuses are in one of two places:
Dash Fuse Box
Engine Fuse Box
Unless you have some aftermarket setup with inline fuses, they're not hard to replace at all.
Have you ever looked under your dash?

by the way no, getting the radio code isn't gonna make the cluster lights work, but the radio will, anyway check your fuses first like everyone says and if that doesn't work, then check the dimmer switch inside the drivers a/c vent maybe its not plugged in or broken or something
