Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today

I believe all 93-97 Del sols, 92-95 civics and 94-01 integras can swap suspension. The ideal spring rates very between vehicles, not sure if that helps.

Picked up the engines late last week, both are ready!
The 99 will be put back together first and gingerly broken in.
92' is still major work in progress... core support, bay cleaning and painting, then I'll worry about getting the engine seated.
Baby steps.

Got a great deal on aem short ram intake ... Installed it ... I have to say there feels like NO difference in performance ... Just a noticeable growl under hard acceleration ... I may take it off

Don't believe the hype!
There may a slight increase in HP, but not enough to notice.
It just plays well with other mods.
I run a Cold Air Intake on my daily, & I thought about removing it during the wet season (5-6 months here lol) but I just try to avoid deep puddles.
If you don't like the growl, try running from the header. Lol
My neighbors hate me, even though I try to keep quiet...

You can put lipstick on a pig but at the end of the day it's still a pig ...lol

It was cheap luckily ... I am saving for a GSR swap but that's a while away so I figured I would try it ... I know on my 2000 GSR integra it made a noticeable difference . I guess I was hoping for more on a 1.6 dx non vtec motor but what did I expect ....

It sounds more aggressive, & that in itself makes it seem like it works.
Honestly I can't say I've really seen any "real time benefits" with using them.
Like I said, they play well with other mods. IMO they're more dress up items.
You could spend money elsewhere for true HP gains.
Just my $0.02. :D

Re: Tell Us What You Did To Your EG/EK/Del Sol Today
hello everyone i dont ask alot of questions on here i mainly just read what i need to read and then go on my way
but this is something i feel like i need to ask
and i have not found anything like it on the net
last week a friend and i went for a drive down to osaka to pick up a dizzy my friend needed for his hatch
and the guy who sold it to us also had a hatch
but hear this!!!! he didnt have a back seat in it
he had a large trunk area and for the front seats he had a bench seat
like you would find in your old american cars
the bench seat was adjustable and fit three people in the front
didnt take any pics but after seeing that im now interested in trying it out on my eg but i have no clue where to get a bench seat
and it looked like he moved the e brake lever forwards about half a foot
the bench seat looked super comfy
just wondering if any of you have done anything like this

With CAI/Air intakes it's like the "placebo effect".
It sounds more aggressive, & that in itself makes it seem like it works.

That's a good idea if you can find one. All of my swaps ended up with a SRI because I could not easily find/source a stock air box & piping that is matched to the engine.
I got an engine with just the top part of the air box once, though. Not really useful...

Added a reworks front strut bar ... Had to be flipped to clear my intake ...

Made my own bumper quick release at work today. I think it looks nice, my bumper was hanging 1/4 in before

Just got my EK back, & EK my EJ1.
Replaced the dizzy in the EK, & gave her a wash.
Gonna miss my "She hulk"...
I luved the way she pulled, & screamed like a banshee.
We had good times together, but it was time to move along...

Filled up on gas and replaced the wiper blades on my EJ1.
$10 and $36, respectively.

Drove mine to the dentist today. Fist time in a month since I've started it. I'm starting to think I don't actually have any rod knock. Might start driving it again. If it blows, whatever. I should be done with the spare soon.
