swap info +emissions
not sure if this is in the right section or not but i have a 96 civic ex and, well i have a few questions... i want to do a B20b swap into my civic in the next few months and i went around asking bout if itl pass or not... well here in chester county pa, if the CEL is not on and no error codes are stored in the ecu, but the cel does work... it should pass emissions... well then another guy was like if its not ready for emissions itl fail... like wtf does this mean? if i keep the car obd2 and i will be using a LS integra ecu, will it not be ready for emissions? like if its kept obd2 and every thing is hooked up, would the obd scan computer they use be able to plug into the data link and work with the ecu???
also does the LS integra have a knock sensor? cause the b20b i hear does not and if it needs it can i take it out of my D16 and put it in cause its just a sensor?
thanks

Re: swap info +emissions (AliasNeo)
I'm not sure about PA, but in some states, a B20 swap is illegal because the B20 is classified as a light truck motor. I'm not 100% about that though.

Re: (AliasNeo)
I have a 97 civic ex and i put a b20 vtec in it. Well theres really no way to get past emissions. So i have to register the car with an address that emission laws dont apply becuase theres no test stations there.
It ****** sucks
