B20 confusion
K, I've been digging through archived content most of the night and I can't seem to get a clear answer. I am looking at a B20 "jdm" motor, it has a knock sensor, is this a clear indication of the high comp 9.6 engine?

Re: B20 confusion (dannis.)
the 99-2000 jdm spec b20b's are marked "b20b4" on the engine and PHK on the intake manifold and on top of the pistons.
the 99-2000 usdm b20z is the same as the jdm b20b4...
both have a 9.6:1 CR.
97-98 USDM and JDM spec motors have 8.8:1 CR and are not marked PHK
