I know this isn't tech but I'm looking for a Captiva Blue 92 si hatch on black drag dr23 rims(slipstreams)... ypj32h.... it was stolen in New Brunswick NJ on monday night and the chances of me ever seeing it again are horrible. I almost don't want the police to tell me they found it cause i know it will be on fire in manhatten or in a million pieces. The car was just a daily driver so no intense mods but if anyone sees a dc sports exhaust or a tenzo air intake or the rims I just mentioned for sale in NJ/NY lmk so i can show up to his house with my 12 gauge. I know it seems stupid but I'm 19 and this is the only car I've ever owned and it was totaled when I bought it then rebuilt then my gf got t-boned in it and I rebuilt it again... so for obvious reasons this car means a lot to me. The only thing that comforts me is they stole my car instead of the turbo'd jetta parked next to me with no security system. Hmmm I hope that *%$#ers happy when he cuts my car open to see a d series with 170k on it. bump and help me out

The car was found today in the backyard of an abandoned building... The rims were gone and the jackasses cut my bumper off cause I guess it was just too hard to unscrew my fogs.. They destroyed the left fender and dented the **** out of the rear hatch i guess for fun. they gutted the dashboard pretty badly breaking nearly all of the stuff I had so they could steal my radio and my cluster gauge. Stole my shifter... tried to steal my intake but couldnt figure it out... most of my stuff was not stolen but was just broken as if they stole it to be ********. It could have been a lot worse since most ppl find there cars in a million peices or on fire but its still pretty damn messed up. The best part is as a student I literally have no money to fix this. thanks a lot and have fun buying crack with the money you make off my rims theives... p.s anyone with random parts of the dash pm me because I need just about everything if even decide to fix her

really? ive been around for a long time and especially in the ITR community (if you wanna talk about theft problems) and i've seen some with no security what so ever, and on the flip side i've seen them taken with lo-jack, kill switches, steering wheels removed, no ecu, blocked in by other cars, hell even chained to the driveway. if they want it, they will find a way to get it, don't ever feel to safe because thats when it'll be gone.

gotta be honest forcefed I felt safe.. like no one would want 400 dollar rims and a d series that bad but damn... I think I'm gonna fix it though cause it hurts to watch hondas goto junk yards.

Sorry to hear bro, but glad you got it back.

Your situation sounds very similar to mine in every aspect. Stole all my small stuff and wheels, beat the car up, and I had almost no money to fix it.

Mine looks like crap today, but it runs.

thanks to all... I won't hear back from insurance till monday/tuesday and am kind of unsure what their going to do... since the car in "excellent" condition is 2k even... I mean I'd consider it pretty excellent for an 18 year old car.. Anyhow if I were that fortunate to get the money I might buy a 92 Integra as a dd and garage the hatch so I can fix it as I get money... Although insurance blows and will probably give me 500 dollars cause its a civic

I feel your pain man. I hope they find it I have had 2 civics stolen from me and they both came back big paper weights. I finaly bought a 4 door Civic and nobody messes with it at all. F@ck theivs man!

anyone have any experience with insurance.. It's through my parents so I haven't spoken to them directly even though I pay it... and its state farm... basically took a week and half to get back to me to tell me the car was valued at 2500 but it was totaled and that they will only give me the 2500 if they get the car... which is ****ing insane since I could get the car back into decent shape with about 1500.. They claim that its a policy for all insurance that if the car is stolen and deemed totaled they only pay out if they get the car. And I know when they get it they part it out to junkyards so in essence are they not being the thieves now?

Dude. People do that all the time. Ins deems it totalled you sell it to them letthem junk it whatever. Buy it back for a small amount and fix that bitch up

haha i know this cars actually been totaled before. But they are claiming that in the event of theft and it being deemed totaled. If I accept their money they will not allow me to buy it from them under any circumstances. The car will be auctioned to junkyards and wont remain in one piece. In other words they are doing EXACTLY what the thieves were trying to do but they are doing it "legally."

thats dirty i talkd to freeway insurance i think they told me if something happen to my car i guess no matter the value of the car im guessing they would give me 3500 and i get to keep the car but theres always a catch to something like that i would just keep the car and buy that integra like you said cause theres always people selling something for cheap
