Icon6 Stock d16y7 bogging

Idles fine, sometimes a bit low in the RPM but not bad.

By bogging I mean a temporary loss of power.

Driving in any gear at any speed the engine will bog intermittently, if you let off the gas for a second and re apply the gas it will act normal for a few seconds and do it again. Same thing happens if I step on the throttle when it bogs, it will act normal for a few seconds and bog again. If you step in the clutch when it bogs it will idle normally.

It has a new fuel filter in. And no CEL.

I just drove 20 miles to school with it bogging and no CEL lit up.

What do you peeps think?

Thanks in advanced.

Primary 02 sensor on it's way out is my guess, only because that happened to me just like you described.

But don't go throwing parts at it based soley on what I say, could be a bunch of different things causing this.

check your codes any ways. the CEL doesn't have to be on for a code to be thrown.

I had the same problem with my D16 bogging out when I first put the civic on the road a couple months ago. I replaced the spark plugs, spark wires, air filter and cleaned the TB and it solved the problem for me. Try cleaning the TB if its dirty and replace your filter, then try new plugs/wires.

^Fix the O2 sensor codes. Your problem is different in that you have CEL codes.
