Default Sticky throttle body or cable???

Went for a drive last night. Engine idles fine until i drive it. i take my foot off the pedal and push the clutch in. Rpm stays at 2k. Its not the idle im assuming i adjusted that on throttle body. I have to put my foot under the pedal and pull up to get the rpm down and if thats done too much the rpm will drop to 300!! Im assuming the cable or the throttle body it self ie. stop screw or throttle spring.

clean the iacv then check that there is enough slack on the cable.

Yeah you can...but can make quite a mess if you want to insure its actually clean, and possibly contaminate the coolant.

Use some penetrating spray at the top of the hoses and use a small set of channel locks to break the hose's free.

Should my map sensor shut the car off when unplugged?

Ok so i changed out my iacv and now the idle bounces or it did prolly three times and stopped. Sprayed brake cleaner and no vaccum leaks, Idles at 1000 where i like it but still drives a little off. Smells rich out of the exhaust and Im hearing a wine or whine only when i accel.

did you bleed the coolant system that could account for the little bounces you're getting. 1000 is still high sould be more around 750 +/-50 did you check to see if you'r TPS is calibrated could be why you're smelling gas(if it's off by a bit)

Tps should be fine. The intake mani, the trans, and ecu worked fine when I had a d15 in it. I threw a rod in the d15 so i swapped in a D16z6 using the intake mani, ecu and trans that were on the d15. i had built a while ago. Ill check the voltages. Could my problems be because the z6 i built compression might be at 10.1 im using a6 piston. Idk it was my first motor i built and i wanted higher compression. Lol

Hmm thats a good question sir. How do i check that, unplug one at a time and waych for rpm drop? When i first started the motor id say two maybe three injectors did bleed but it went away. Might be why my car is smelling rich and idling at 100. Makes the exhaust sound put put ya know.

Did you check timing, that can make idle high, too, bout 1500 if its far enough out.
Edit- ya good idea about inj, play w/idle screw any?

get a fuel pressure gauge first step prime the fuel pump(key in II postion) then see if you'r pressure holds next start the car see if the pressure holds at 37-40 psi. also have you adjusted the idle via the idle screw:http://www.team-integra.net/forum/bl...peed-gen3.html

@s2bumpsticks it can also make the idle complete crap(low as hell) but worth a check non the less

Timing is dead on unless there is a difference in me using a y7 oil pump. I miss placed the z6 pump and had to go with what i had. Did mess with the idle screw but couldnt seem to get it right. Either too high or if i got it to sit under 1000 after pushing the pedal it jumps back up.

SIDE NOTE- i know the stop screw shouldnt be touched but i can bacsically Turn my throttle spring to touch the stop screw and rpm hit 100 instantly. Not sure if slack should be in it but mine sure is. Fyi i havent touched it lol

that should not be at it's lowest point you should be at 750 +/- 50 RPM's. you need to undo the rotor stop screw then play with it will you have a set idle dissconnect the throttle cable while you're doing this and the TPS will need to be re-calibrated after.

An idle that low suggests a big vac leak- booster for brakes possibly. My bad booster would hiss on eng shutdown and made it idle@ 350-400rpm before I turned on accessories- lights, fan, flashers stalled it lol. Check master cyl for wetness(leak into booster) this might be your hiss under throttle.
