FRONT LIP HEEELLPPP!!!
so i finally recieved my fron lip after like 2 weeks. it's a polyurethane spoon replica front lip. my problem is, it doesn't fit correctly! i'll put one side on and then wrap it around the front bumper. when i do that, the lip is about 1 inch short from wrapping around the other side of the bumper! it's pissing me off so bad because i've waited so long to get it and when i get it, it doesn't even fit! AHHH!!!! am i doing something wrong? i'm pretty sure everything is right but it's just too short! by the way, the lips from JDMSH!T.

Polyurethane? Try some good mild heat to make it plyable. May fit then. It's meant to fit pretty snugly. I know mine is. Otherwise, you may have to send it back to them. Sorry dude.

Trust me, that's how my polyurethane lip gets when I put it on. You're in good shape, you just gotta force it on. Give it some heat like I suggested before. Try to leave it out on the lawn in the sun for a little bit to soften it up, and then assertively try it again.

x2, I would suggest a hair dryer, it will heat it up in more of a surface area instead of more a pin point like the torch will giving you a lower chance of melting the lip...

i screwed the two sides in first then stretched the middle part over the bumper. its easier if you take the bumper off and set it upside-down.

It would also probably be easier to install the lip if the front bumper was off of the car.
By the way, was your car in an accident or is that the original front bumper that came with your car?

Re: FRONT LIP HEEELLPPP!!! (mRek9R)
actually if you put a lil force on the bumper (bend it in, its just plastic not gonna break it) the lip should just slid into place and it wont break it. had that prob wit my fiber glass lip. but its on and looks fine now.

x2. Mine was the exact same, tried to fit it in the evening, no go, came up short like yours is. So I let it sit in the sun on the deck for a few hours, and had my car in the shade, then went to fit the lip. It still went on a little hard, but it did stretch enough and fits great now, just make sure once its on, screw it secure right away. Good luck

Re: FRONT LIP HEEELLPPP!!!
I know this is an old thread but I am trying to make a Civic lip fit a 1st gen Odyssey. The lip fits almost perfectly but I need about an inch on each end to reach the bumper edge. If I somehow manage to stretch it that far with heat and what-not, won't the PU try to regain its former shape and length ??
