Default Steering wheel locked?

I lost the key to my car today but I need to get the steering wheel unlocked to get to Honda. Honda isnt exactly close to me (1 hour away) to go get a new key cut. I can start the car by removing the panels under the steering wheel and with a screwdriver in that white thing, but the wheel is still locked. I tried to pull the wheel as hard as I can but it still wont unlock. Is there anything else I can do

And this is my only car to get there

there is 2 star headed bolts on the under side of the steering coulum... thre a bitch to get off but once you do (vice grips works best) your stearing wheel will be free.. had the same problem in a 89 tegra.... good luck took me about 2 hrs to get it done.. just so i could move the ******* car.. then like 3 days later i found the keys so i put everything back together and it all worked fine.. just when anyone looks at your bare steering coulum it will look like you had to bypass the steering lock

Good Luck!

well if you want to do it like this you dont have to drive to honda you can just get a ignition cylinder and door keys from a junkyard but just stick a pry bar agenst the top of the sylender and pry down agenst it and it will break and bam its unlocked but a new one is needed to fix that so weigh the options

According to your profile, you live in Toronto. You're telling me you live 1 hour away from this Toronto Honda Dealer? http://www.honda.ca/HondaCA200...Honda

And bring your registration and ID for proof of ownership. Some dealers require two forms of ID. You say this is the only car you can get there with? You mean you don't have any friends or relatives that can take you?

just get someone to drive you to the dealership. all you need to show them is a ID and your registration and they can copy you a key
