CTR / Si front lip, are they the same??
Ok, this may be a stupid but need to know if the CTR and the Si front lip are the same. They look the same to me but I want to know if I decide to sell mine.

si and ctr are almost the same...the ctr lip is just a bit more agressive.....it hangs a bit lower i believe

welp everyone thanks for your tech knowledge but the stock si lip is the same as the type r lip... the replica oem lip aka the ctr style lip... is more aggressive

most of you guys are wrong, the si and ctr lip are DIFFERENT, the ctr is a little bigger and more aggressive then the si. Its hard to tell from pics but you can see a difference in person

They are different, i have them both in my garage, the Type-R lip is on there right now...i thougth they were the same too until i bought the Si lip spoiler then at nopi parked my hatch next to a hatch with the Type-R lip spoiler...the Type-R spoiler has a little bit more curve to the tips of it on teh front, where as the Si spoiler is more flat and rounded...
They are VERY similar but are in fact different...id find some pics to show you but im too busy listening to this Iraq bombing thing on TV...damn explosions sound cool on surround sound.

anyways, my girlfriends brother had a JDM CTR front lip that a shop sent to him instead of a CTR rear lip, and he compared it to his Si lip and he said the CTR lip looked a bit "fatter". however, i did not see them for my own two eyes to confirm this
someone else on this board also mentioned that the CTR lip and Si lip were the same part number.. so hmm..
the question still remains.

My CTR lip spoiler from a friend that works at a place called JARCO ( http://www.jarcoinc.com )here in canton, GA...so im pretty sure its the real deal, if not, oh well, im happy with it and as long as i think its real, ill continue to be happy with it.
The Si lip is most deffinately real, stripped it off a wrecked Si on the back of a tow truck at the junk yard myself...
The difference is there, its very subtle, much like the trim on the door of the USDM civics compared to the civic Type-R...its just a tad skinnier and thinner, but honestly, just looking at them they look the same in my opinion...
BTW...why is this such a big deal? You can get the knock off lip spoilers for freakin' $50 now days...i dont see what difference it would really make, if you want the Si spoiler get it, if you want the civic type-r spoiler, get it...if you think they are the same, get the cheaper one, if you think they look different, get the one you like better...

Since we never had a Si in 97-98, we an use the SiR as comparison. The R had a MUCH diffrent front spoiler at that time (as you can see above) becuase of the front end differences.
So this question cannot be answered using the inforation given in the first post, as he was not year specific.
