stance questions
whats up guys, i have a couple questions that im sure some of you could answer about suspension. i drive an eg coupe with a gsr suspension swap on tokico illumina 5 way adjustables and h&r 2.5" drop coils but it honestly has not satisfied my likings. i need some insight on how to get a more aggressive stance. rims are 16" drag dr-16's but im not sure of the wheel off set. i wanna get stretched tires to round the wall out a bit but do not know how to do these things. im also wondering if a camber kit will give me a more aggressive stance? your opinions are wanted
thanks,
zach

Re: stance questions
Define what aggressive stance is or means for you...
Wheel size, tire size, camber, offset, and ride height are all going to play a factor in the outcome of whatever stance you're looking for so fully understanding what each is and how it works is crucial.

Re: stance questions
Koni/ground control setup will get you the right height. As for the "hellaflush" look you'll need some low offset wheels, or spacers for your current wheels. Also front and rear camber kit to get it to look right.

Re: stance questions
Your going to do that with springs, you'll need coilovers, low offset wide wheels spacers and camber kit.
By the way, all your going to do is hurt your handleing, ride qaulity by doing that.

Re: stance questions
that much negative camber will make the tires wear faster on the insides and super low offset like that will eat up wheel bearings faster. I don't think it's logical just to get a certain look, but do as you wish.

Re: stance questions
I guess I'll have to break it down for you...
Ride height-Determines how high your car will ride but also determines how much of a wheel gap you'll have with a corresponding rim/tire combo
Offset-Determines how far the wheel will stick out relative to it's center of width and mounting point
Camber-Determines the angle of the wheels
Tire width-Determines tire width obviously but will dictate how much of a stretch will be achieved with a corresponding rim width
Like I had stated above, understanding how these work is crucial and will play a factor in obtaining the stance you want.

Re: stance questions
Use a ruler and measure how much more you want your existing wheel to stick out. Then subtract that number (in millimeters) from your existing offset. This will work as long as the new rims you get are the same width. If you change the width, adjust as necessary.

Re: stance questions
This is ALOT more simple than OP thinks.
Coilovers+camber kit+stretched tires on 0 or close offset wheels.
And if you want to be "Flush but not the full hellaflush" Than just take away something from that list ???

1-Old thread
2-Should be in Wheel & Tire.
3-If this were in Wheel and Tire it would be locked.
From the Wheel & Tire FAQ.
10. Do not ask about "stretching" tires onto wheels that are too wide.
All such topics will be locked. Tire manufacturers determine the wheel widths onto which each model and size tire can be mounted safely, and you can find the range of these wheel widths in the specs on their websites as well as those of retailers like the Tire Rack. Mounting tires onto wheels outside this range of approved wheel widths is unsafe because it can, and often does, result in the buildup of excessive stress and heat in the tire sidewalls, which can lead to the tire "popping the bead" and/or tire failure. Make sure your tires are mounted on wheels whose widths are within the approved range.
If they don't allow these kinds of posts neither should a tech forum.
