SRS error codes 1-1, 9-2 and 1-1.
My SRS light came on a few weeks ago shortly followed by the failure of my horn and cruise control. I assumed the reel was bad. Replaced the reel, horn and cruise work, but the SRS light is still on. It's giving me codes 1-1, 9-2 and then again, 1-1.
My first step was to try and reset the MES. It will not reset.
I began following the procedures in the Helms for each code.
1-1: With the service conector and 3p reel connector bridged, I get code 1-2 meaning "open in driver's airbag, replace"
9-2: The fuse in the panel isn't blown. Next step is to install a test harness that I do not have, but the only thing that will tell me is that either the SRS Harness is bad or the SRS Control Unit is bad.
Is it possible that my entire SRS system crapped the bed out of the blue? Perhaps a short in my old cable reel may have shorted out the system? Does anyone have any insight?

Bad news my friend. Straight from the Helms.......10-1 = "SRS unit replacement code. SRS Unit must not be used an longer."
I'd probably unplug it if I were you.
