Default Help: Power Steering Rack Removal

Hey guys,

I've searched this topic, however I have yet to find what I'm looking for. I'm in the process of changing my power steering rack to a manual rack. Everything is disconnected and the rack is loose. Tie rod ends are still attached. The problem I'm having is pulling the shaft through the firewall. I've been trying to play around with it but it just wont come through and yes, its already off the shaft.

Not looking for any comments on how I should just loop the power steering rack...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

it was on the first page of a search. https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...g+power+manual that honestly seems to be the simplest way, and it works as well. Otherwise you have to swap the manual rack and pinion subframe, as the power steering one is different. Other than that, it should all go on the same way.
Your problem, i would take off the tie rod ends, and if you haven't the subframe needs to be taken off as well, there are no short cuts.

----edit------
just found more info.
