My speedometer will sometimes work and sometimes not. If i tap the cluster a bit sometimes it will work, sometimes it wont, and then sometimes it will come on all by itself.

Im wondering if anyone has had this problem and if they could help. Is there something in the cluster that may have gotten ruined?

I tried a cluster from a friends car and it worked flaulesy, im just wondering if anything can be done without purchasing a new cluster. TIA

check for a lose connector, or wire behind the cluster.

i've checked everything, and my friends cluster worked all the time. It's weird you would think its a loose wire because when i hit it it will sometimes work, but other times it wont be working, and just driving straight down a road, it will pop right up to 55 or whatever.

haha mine does the same, happened after a deck install and the cluster lights do not work either... tach and other gauges are fin, so being as thats the only one i like to watch ive left it be, less miles on the odometer!! lawl

yeah a few of my lights have gone out but that is because i have beat the damn thing so many times in the hope for it working. does anyone have a simple solution or will i need to replace the whole cluster?

mine does the same thing! i bought it 2 weeks ago and it goes on and off....i pulled it out and tried 2 straiten the lil conectors...but nuthing.....suks bad......i need help also if any1 knows....maybe its just the chinsey lil plastic wireing conectors that the plugs plug into are warn out...thats what it kinda looks like.

VSS did the same thing on mine. You get a CEL when it stops working?
