Default Single bend Vs Dual bend short shifter questions!

Yes, i know this has been covered many times, but im in the market for a short shifter (blox/skunk2) and i have a 98 civic coupe.

I read online that the single bend is for my car, but i also read dual bend can be too?

In my old 94 coupe, i had a GSR dual bend and i loved it.. now i have a single bend ( keep in mind there both stock) and i didnt like it at first but im used to it, i was wondering,

any problems if i went with the dual bend?

what do people prefer?

i know the dual bend sits more vertical as the single bend like leans back, with the short shifter is it still like this?

thanks guys, appreciate it.

Dual bend just sits closer to the driver.

If you're taller than 5'10" you'll like the dual bend.

No, in 92-00 civics the dual or single works fine. It's just a matter of preference.

I see most people going with the dual bend.

Kind of a little OT but you said you had a gsr shifter in your old coupe did that go right in?

It is NOT a direct fit. You have to cut about 1/4 off the gsr shifter. The gsr shifter is has an ofset and when you lay the stock shifter on top of the gsr you will see where you need to cut. Just use a hack saw and cut it off file the edges and use the internal bushing from the d shifter make sure you lube it up also.

You can also buy extensions as well to get the same effect as the FLP shifter. I have a steel edelbrock shifter and it pretty nice.

Yeah but you gotta still buy a shift **** and if you're smart change the bushings while you're down there.

IMO, if your anything below 5'9 - 5'10 and drive a 96-00 civic get a dual bend SS. Im 5'7 and hate reaching for my single bend SS and no i dont sit with the gangster lean haha...
