Signs of a broken or blown shock or strut???
What are the signs of a busted or broken shock besides leaking??
Noises I should listen for? Performance issues I should watch out for?

just push your car upand down by hand and if the side you suspect bounces more than the other 3 corners of your car then the shock / strut is bad

also look for a puddle of oil in your garage underneath the shock assmebly if it blew out right away.
Also the worst ride quality you can imagine.

when i lowered my crx 3+ inches when i first got my Ground controls... my stocks shocks had ALL blown the oil all over the wheelwells everywhere! it sucks...

my back shocks make a creaking noise when i push down on the back of the car, does that mean they are bad? '93 civ si, original shocks. Also the ride is not bouncy but when i have weight in the back they seem to fade.

I'll try all those things to see if they are blown. Also, how important are the bump stops on the shocks?
