Default shifting

Can someone explain the whole shifting without usuing the clutch deal.

If your clutch works, use it. It's there for a reason. Anything else will screw up your transmission if not done right.

You have to match the revs of the engine to the speed of the tranny. Only when they are syncronized will it drop into gear. If you try and force it, chances are somthing will break.

My advice: Dont do it unless you have to.

if you wanna learn then borrow somebody else's car...

you can screw something up if you overdo it because you have to be dead on for

it to go into gear and if you're a little off then you'll be grinding...

But basically (like it was said) you match engine speed with tranny speed

Example: going 35 in 3rd, your engine will be at let's say 2500 rpm and when you shift into 4th you need to be at 1900

Yeah, don't do it with a synchronized transmission.

Leave it for sequential transmissions or dog boxes.

agreed i tried it for a day (i matched most pretty well but definately had a few bad misses, one was really really bad) ... and replaced my trans within a month. if you didn't need a clutch, the pedal wouldn't be there, USE IT
