Don't know if works any better than the next guys , but I do know its much better than it used to be . About 7 or so years ago , people in my area (Southern Alberta , Canada) who put Shell fuel in their GM vehicles ended up gumming up their injectors . Now , GM endorses the fuel as a top of the line brew!

i stick with chevron supreme still. i heard something on the news that shell, arco and am pm all had elevated levels of water in them recently.

IMO i think Sunoco makes the best gas, Shell is good but Sunoco has ethanol, all gas comes from the same distributor. Different brands, Shell/Mobil, Chevron/Texaco, Diamond Shamrock, etc, and then chemicals are then added after the tanker truck is filled.

Chevron gas is so good that GM trucks in the gas (because there is no chevron in Detroit) to test in their vehicles.

chevron now runs up to 10% ethanol in their gas. there are no sunoco's in WA so chevron FTW

Everyone runs 10% ethanol its a federal gov't mandate, thats whats driving up grain prices.

I always use chevron. For some reason (and ive tried it in all my cars) it lasts the best. 76 burns fast for some reason.....and ARCO......is colored water to me. Arco im not even gonnat talk about that **** is GAY. I rather push my car than buy a gallon of that gas.

im right there with you dude. my dad has always swore by chevron and preached it to me and i have learned why, i got 32mpg on a boosted gsr last tank... mixed city and highway still smashin on it every once and awhile and arco should not sell gas anymore. my buddy ate a piston running on their gas.

i have never tried chevron but i will if i use arco i go through a tank like every freaking week.
76 hast lasted the longest so far
it also depends on the octaine your runing
the HIGHER # the slower it burns

all I can say is I went on an 600km trip from toronto to montreal with out any traffic at all at 80mph on average with sunuco 94 used on the way up and shell 87 on the way back with the exact same weight,speed,traffic(none really),wheather and the shell gave me an extra 50 km to the tank! I didnt notice any gains whatsoever using 94 either,no difference in power,nothing, but I should also add that this was on a non-vtec b20z with simple bolt-ons(capable of running on 87)!

I used to work for general petro. Co. And overall cheveron slaps on any competitor.sunoco race gas is americas top race fuel.that **** will fry any stock cat!

-because it is leaded, any fuel containing lead will fry any catalytic converter. sunoco is americas' best racing fuel due to its association with NASCAR. shell is a quality retail fuel for the american market, which compared to overall worldwide formulation......is pretty pathetic.

-BP fuel has been pretty much my source of fuel for my vehicles, i actually have a shell credit card and still use BP more, its convenient.

-you guys make me laugh. petrol, brand for brand has US EPA standards, which must be met. octane, fuel quality, water content, ethanol content.....its all regulated for a third party which does random country-wide testing. as someone stated a couple of posts previous.....gas is gas. it really is.

not true, becuase your obviously not considering what else they put in the gas such as Techron, Invigorate, etc. And there is only a maximum that they can put in of certain things (such as water), crappier gas stations can use more water lol.

IMO! gas is gas period! the only difference I can see is how fresh that gas is, buying gas from x out on the countryside where there are 100 cars there and the station is 50 years old where its tank is all rusty,hasnt been served and not air tight shouldnt even compare to gas in the city where its very often refreshed as its used more, where that station has been built very recently(is new) and the tank they have is clean and air tight and inspected very often! gas has alcohol and alcohol acts like the acid in your coke, if the station is bad and leaks air that gas is garbage! even if it is air tight if its old its still garbage IMO! also remember that aditives in every station are different and those aditives clean deposites, soo dont keep on using the same gas, by doing so in example just using shell, you will only clense your engine from the deposites that the shell detergents can clean, but if you keep switching, like lets say every 3k youll keep your engine clean from various deposites by using various detergents various gas stations serve, I would only be aware that I go with a busy station that carries a reputation like a shell,esso,sunuco,chevron and keep switching through them thats all , oh and obviously use no less than the octane recommended
