Okay, so i just finished all of the wiring for my Y8 swap into my 96 EK, I had origionally had an automatic harness that I had to modify greatly to get to work with my 5 speed motor. Anyways, upon initial startup Im throwing CEL 65 which is "Secondary oxygen sensor heater wire (black wires)". Now my question is this.. I expected to get some kind of Secondary Oxygen sensor code, I am running an OBD-II computer on an OBD-II motor without a secondary O2 sensor hooked up. But the reason being, I dont have any wiring for a Secondary O2 sensor.. Anywhere... I looked underneath the car for a wire coming out of the floor board.. nothing.. I know its not in the engine harness.. I just plain dont have the harness to support a secondary O2.. I dont know if someone did something before I got the car.. (its a possibility, I bought the car with a B16A swap, running a P30 (OBD-I obviously) so It has never needed a Secondary O2 sensor until now (well, besides when it was new and had the y7 in it =P) but for real, what should I be going about to fix this? I hear there is a way to eliminate the secondary O2 sensor all together without running an OBD-I computer. I plan to get a P28 soon, but in the meantime, anyone know of a good fix? I searched and found nothing..
