Default ITR axle back on EM1

Stock exhaust on there now. I wonder how much work will it take to put it on. Also is it really worth it?
My idea is to swap a 97 b18c5 and throw on a 98 spec JDM header with stock cat and some custom piping into the USDM ITR axle back. Anyone have a better idea on a clean and simple yet effective exhaust setup with this swap. I'd rather not go loud or expensive please. No track time just smooth driving with a little heavy foot here and there.

you are going to have to cut the piping off the axle back and have them redo it or it won't clear the lca's

I just put stock ITR exhaust on my EM1 last month. Bought the car with a really loud exhaust and my friend gave me the ITR exhaust for free. It bolts up no problem. You have to remove the center heat shield or you can dent it a little cause it rubs on the bolt that holds the heat shield. Next it just barley rubs the corner of the gas tank. I just beat a flat spot on the exhaust so it doesn't rub. Last the exhaust tip is about 6 inches short. I carefully cut off the polished tip and not the entire tip coming out of the muffler and bolted on a hookers header 3" slash cut exhaust tip. Now I have a stainless 2.5" exhaust that looks and sounds stock.

so since the muffler tip was 3 inches short you cut off the tip and left just enough pipe on the muffler to weld a 3 inches of pipe to the SS tip? i cant really make out what you wrote there. also what about the hangers?

i really wonder how free flowing the itr muffler is. i wonder what oem honda muffler is a better option if there is

The exhaust is about 6 inches short. There is a pipe that comes out of the muffler and then the polished tip is welded to that. I cut the weld on the polished tip and removed it so it was just the 2.25" pipe coming out of the muffler. I then got a 3" diameter by 8" long exhaust tip and bolted it to the 2.25" pipe coming out of the muffler.

i can confirm that 4 door ITR axle back will fit like stock on an ej8/em1

Clears my Blox LCAs and sway bar.

Bolts right up to dc2 ITR exhaust, including ITR cat, just had to have the hangers modified.

Your stock cat will not bolt up to the ITR 4-1 header.
