Not many shops are willing to do the conversion. And if they did, it might take weeks and cost you thousands of dollars.

Not to mention it probably makes your car illegal.

hmotorsonline will allow you to pick up from the shop. just phone ahead bring cash for no tax & use card if you want a receipt. & from what i understand, if you keep the original fire wall vin# somehow you can register it no problem. someone please correct me if i'm wrong (& please don't be a dick about it) also where are you located? i know of 2 good shop here in socal who do amazing work.

there is not 1 state in the 50, that bans RHD cars or conversions. as long as the car still meets all factory specifications and federal requirements, it is legal for on road use. make sure u use your factory cluster tho, so you can retain your mileage.

Correct, it just depends on whether or not you retain the safety of the vehicle.

However I do think the ****'s in California would have a field day.

And therin lies the rub. At least as far as importing a real Civic goes. JDM Civics lacked some pretty important federal requirements, airbags and side impact beams to start with. Plus there's other smaller things like lights and emissions. All this aside why anyone that drives in a country where LHDs are the norm would want a RHD is beyond me. I've driven some pretty nice real deal JDM imports including a RHD EG6 SiR-S and everytime I drive one all I can say is "this would be so much more fun if it were LHD" Theres not a single benefit to converting a vehicle to RHD (unless you plan to deliver mail with it) Its not even unique anymore.

^ Totally. I would do an LHD conversion within a year of.... actually, scratch that ... make it as soon as possible after buying a 15-yr import rule RHD. Yecch.

OP needs to read this: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/rhd-conversions-not-cool-2715220/ then put away his wallet.
