Replaced the o2 sensor but still throwing code.
I threw a cel of 61 (or 71) either way it was the one for the primary o2 sensor. I went on sparkplugs.com and bought a denso direct replacement sensor. Got underneath there and replaced it with no problem. After that I took the negative battery cable off for about 3 minutes and replaced it. I drove it about 80 miles and the check engine light came back on.
What is the easiest way to check the wires on the plug? Because all i can think of is that I pulled on the harness too hard while removing the old one.
By the way its a 00 si

Actually the problem fixed itself. It comes on and off every now and then. I have an exhaust leak about 2 inches from the o2 sensor. I think that had something to do with it. Sorry I can't help you.
