I did some searching on it already and here the thing:

I know that Honda only sells the entire wheel bearing and hub assembly together but I took out the hub yesterday and the bearing can definately come out and a new one pressed in. Has anyone ever tried going to a place like NAPA or Checkers to see if you can buy just the bearing from a place like that?

I want to replace both sides in the rear but don't want to drop $200 on it.

I need to replace my rear wheel bearings as well but all the parts stores i've contacted only sell the hub with bearing as one piece only. The cheapest price i've found was 80 dollars but i don't want to go with aftermarket bearings so i'll be shellin out the cash for the OEM honda rear hubs. I found them for 105.35 online.

replace the hub at the same time, much easier. Took me about 15 mins to replace it last time!

why!?!?! so you want to try and find the bearing buy its self. Spend 20-30$ per hub to have the old one PRESSED out and the new onw PRESSED in. You can not simply pop it out. You could beat it out, but then are you really going to beat the new one in and risk destroying it. OK, lets say $40 for the bearing (good luck finding just the bearing) $20 to have press work done. $60 right there per side. Not to mention you will also have to find a ride to run you around for the press work while the car is down.

Just buy the hub, spend the 20 minutes per side to pop the hub on and be done.

I have a hydraulic press so the pressing won't be an issue. It's not a problem of time, it's a problem of money. If I can get bearing for $20 a piece then I spend $40 for the project instead of over $200. Time is not an issue, once I have the hubs out it'll take less than 10min to press out the old bearing and another 10min to press in the new one. It will be less than 40min for both sides. Hardly worth spending the extra $160. I'm a broke *** college student, I have time, not money.

Thats cool. Not everyone has a hydralic press at there house. In that case, yeah go for it. But I still think your going to have a extremly hard time finding the bearings with out the hub. I dont think the dealership even offeres it that way.

You could also get some used ones from a salvage yard. Cheapest thing out there.

Why not press it out, get the dimensions and order a new one from a bearing supplier. Hell, they could probably help you find the type you need if you give them an application with the dimensions.
