Hey guys I was wondering if any of you guys had removed cruise control from your car... Do you guys think I should keep it or toss it? I dont know. I never really use cruise control except the time when I drove to cali.... What do you guys think?

about a year ago, similar topics were discussed (came up as saving weight I believe)... But another thing was stated... something about the cruise controls sticking and not being so safe. Hasnt happened to me, but mine has accelerated 7-8mph in a few min then stayed there until it wanted to speed up again.

So its up to you, but if you dont use it, and have any sort of use for performace, Id take it off... THAT IS, unless you want to sell the car sometime soon, it will add to value I believe..

If you search you may find how to's.. internet too slow for me tonight.

remove the black box, unplug the plugs, i think theres one or 2. and then remove the second throttle cable from the gas pedal. it'll be the "higher" one. viola. piece of cake

Cut it off, its on the acceleration pedal. Remove all the CC wires in the engine and those black bottles. Make sure u plug up the small pole on the intake manifold.

Theres a steel wire cable on top of the pedal. Its for CC. Just make sure you dont cut off the throttle cable.

the CC cable should be above the throttle cable. if you look at your gas pedal, theres an additional piece connected to it which the CC cable is connected to. the throttle cable is connected directly to the gas pedal.

just keep it, the performance gains on something like this a virtually nothing. Unless you have a true race car where every lb counts, then keep it. If this car is your daily driver you might as well keep it for those rare occasions that you might use it. It is turing out to me more of a hassle to remove it as compared to the gains of keeping it. Give me one reason why you think it would benifit you to remove it.
