reducing intake heat soak and noise
swapped out aem for comptech icebox long time ago as wanted somethim quieter which it is but now wanna reduce noise even more while keepin it on and wouldnt mine reducing heat soak BUT wanna do it ghetto style/cheap
so anyone any suggestions?
i know you can buy heat reflective tape but its dam expensive so was thinkin stickin some tin foil around whole intake and then puttin some of this sound deadining over that. good/bad/stupid idea ?
the foam is fire retardent and told its fine to used in engine bay

How about putting the stock intake box back on, selling your comptech ice box and putting a drop in K&N filter. Better flow and quiet as hell

its comptech icebox, no its not moving, just wanna reduce overall noise (resonance etc) you get from aftermarket intakes when driving

Wrapping the tube isn't going to reduce much noise.

Not to wrap around the tube to make it quieter. Heat reflection, sure, but not noise reduction.

Seriously. No AC+Turbo+Shoes= Can barely drive because the floorboards are so hot.
I'm thinking of trying that ghetto "Washer under the hood" trick, but put them between the frame and mount instead of the mount and hood.

It's probably going to stay loud unless you can put something like the stock resinators on it.

Yeah, even if you just had the stock intake arm and box with the resonator removed, it is still loud.
