It isn't the e-brake either, I have the adjustment screw all the way loose and the wheels still won't spin. Whats up?

All the springs are in place? Nothing is stuck?

Edit: Can you take the drum off and take pics? If its stuck you might want to use 2 bolts to seperate it from the hub or w/e they call it (to get pics) lol

Actually, I took it to a shop and had them do it - I've never done drum brakes before, and I'm too busy with work to do them myself at the moment.

I'm taking it in Thursday, and I'll make them deal with it.... grrrr


Would it be too terrible for me to drive it as is until then? Less than 50 miles total?

With brakes i wouldnt chance it. Did they change the shoes and the drums? How do you know they dont spin freely? Did you jack the car up and try to rotate it with your hands?

Yep, its jacked up right now because I was going to adjust the parking brake, which they also did not do. The wheels do not spin freely. Only the shoes were replaced, not the drums.

i dont remember if hondas are the same size for the primary and secondary shoe, but if they are different size, they probably put them on backwards.

I just replaced mine last weekend in my 95 and they were both the same size. Only problem i ran into was that i picked up the shoes from Autozone and the part# they had for the 95 was incorrect. Brought in my old shoe and it was an exact match for the 96-00.

I have a 1995 EX Coupe... maybe they put the wrong shoes on.

yeah, i couldnt remember. theres so many different variations of shoes its crazy. thats why you should do a disc swap. haha

Well, its back at the shop right now. He claims that he set the shoes so they were just touching, so they would "break in" as I used them. Does that sound normal?

Yeah that sounds normal. If you think about it, when you replace your pads/shoes they are usually a couple .001's of an inch thicker than the ones you just pulled off. After a few days of driving and braking they will wear down just a lil bit and not be so tight.
